DELIVERING SAMPLES TO THE CAT

RNA and DNA samples:

IF USING THE HEALTH SCIENCES COURIER:

The CAT is located off campus in the Rosen Building. Every day a courier picks up samples on the UW campus for delivery to the CAT. If you would like to use this service, take your samples and completed paperwork to K325 before 11am. To the left of K325 there is a cold room. Inside the cold room is a Styrofoam box with dry ice. Place your samples in this box.

DO NOT PLACE ARRAYS OR CHIPS IN, ON, OR NEAR THE BOX.

OTHERWISE:

Place samples in a Ziploc bag with the paperwork. Put the bag in a Styrofoam box with enough dry ice to maintain samples for up to 24 hours. Deliver to the CAT during normal business hours (8-5, M-F). We are located at 960 Republican Street. Come to the front door and call 2-6048 or 2-6049 to be let into the building.

Arrays:

Affymetrix

Genechips should be at room temperature or on wet ice (4 C) in a large envelope or the original box with the principal investigators name written clearly on the outside.

Agilent

Slides should be in original packaging at room temperature only with principal investigators name written clearly on the outside.

IF USING THE HEALTH SCIENCES COURIER:

Bring samples to the coldroom to the left of K325 before noon and ask one of the staff there where the pickup location for Rosen Building items is.

DO NOT USE THE COLD ROOM FOR ARRAYS. TAKE ARRAYS TO K343 FOR DELIVERY TO THE CAT
